I set out this evening on what I intended to call the victory loop because I was celebrating receiving my pilot's license. But the route I had selected wasn't too conducive to running at night because it was unpaved and with my history of ankle rolling I decided to walk down park desert road. I followed along and around some rail road tracks and eventually arrived at the riverside park that I intended to reach. I hung around the river for a little while and then ran a good part of the way back. I wasn't sure exactly where I as and when I found a good place to cross the tracks back to the main road a train was stopped, so I climbed across, thought seriously about waiting to see if it would start moving and I could hitch a ride back, and eventually continued on my way walking again. The total distance I ran was a bit less than half the loop, but it was a great night for a walk too.
